Chequered Text This tutorial will show you how to create chequered text in Adobe Photoshop in a few well laid out, easy to follow steps. First of all, you need to create a new image, 100x100 px, and make a chequered pattern, like this:
Then go Edit > Define Pattern. Name it if you want, then hit OK. Create a new document, and insert your text. Make it fairly large.
Then go into your Blending Options panel.
Tick "Pattern Overlay", and select the chequered pattern.
Don't worry if your text looks like this:
Now, still in the Blending options panel, tick "Stroke". Put the colour to black, and the size to between 1 and 3.
. Press OK, and you're done! Your text should look something like this:
